ECRN is a consortium of NGOs, municipalities, associations and private organisations, spread across nine European cities. These organisations organise cultural events, talks, tours and much more on rooftops. Scroll down for a more information and a selection of photo's taken at these events.
The European Creative Rooftop Network (ECRN) project pulls together knowledge, efforts, and local initiatives, to develop and share new methods for the sustainable and collaborative management of rooftops in Europe. ECRN aims at consolidating a movement for urban design practices and lived experiences in cities. By showcasing European cultural heritage, the project will provide European citizens with increased access to cultural and civic participation, and quality of urban life.
The project is implemented by 9 partners: Faro Town Hall (Portugal), Stichting Rotterdamse Dakendagen (Netherlands), Stadt Chemnitz (Germany), Stad Antwerpen (Belgium), Coincidencies (Spain), Urban Gorillas (Cyprus), Urban Scale Interventions Ltd (UK), Stichting Stadvinderij/ROEF (Netherlands), and Folkstadens ideella förening (Sweden).
